Isabel Parra obtained her degree in Economics from the University of Almería in 2014. She subsequently completed a Master’s in Accounting and Corporate Finance at the University of Almería in 2015 and her Ph.D. in Economics by the same institution in 2018. Since September 2020, she has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance and Marketing Research at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Prior to this appointment, she held the position of Interim Substitute Professor in the Department of Economics and Business at the University of Almería from 2018 to 2020.
Her research primarily focuses on decision-making processes in intertemporal choice, and more recently on Sustainable Finance. Her scholarly contributions include interdisciplinary publications as well as works focused on Economics and Finance, featured in high-impact journals such as Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics, and Venture Capital. Furthermore, she has authored book chapters published by prestigious academic publishers, including Springer.
She has engaged in international academic exchange, undertaking a predoctoral research stay at the University of Ferrara (Italy, 2017) and a postdoctoral research visit at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) (Germany, 2022–2023).
