Madrid, March 20 – This week John Graham, Professor at Duke University
Fuqua School of Business and research associate at the NBER, presented his most recent research titled “Valuation Fundamentals”. The event was organized
by UAM’s FIMEGO Group, as part of its commitment to the dissemination of
high impact research in economics and finance.
The study, available on SSRN(see article), explores the gap between
financial theory and the actual decisions made in the markets. Through
an unpublished database of 78,000 analyst reports, the authors
examine how discounted cash flow models
(DCF) are applied in practice and to what extent they deviate from theoretical principles.
The paper provides valuable insight into how financial analysts
perform their valuations, which is of particular interest to researchers in
the field of asset valuation, corporate finance and behavioral finance.
