In this podcast we talk about a hot topic in financial markets, the Initial Coin Offerings, known as ICOs, following the work on the subject published by several researchers from FIMEGO-UAM in the journal International Review of Financial Analysis. Part of our conversation will attempt to shed light on the controversy of whether ICOs reflect or solve the usual problems of financial markets, such as fraud and regulatory evasion, as well as highlight the tension between the potential of blockchain and the realities of financing innovation.
